Are you a Girl Scout interested in participating in the 2021 Cookie Program? What if your troop is not participating? Or you haven't found a troop to join quite yet?
You can still participate in the Cookie Program as a Juliette! Girls who participate in our Product Sales Programs as Juliettes work directly with their local Service Unit volunteers. Instead of earning troop proceeds, Juliettes earn Girl Scout Bucks in levels, similar to the way that girls earn rewards in level, which can be used in store at GSNETX shops, to renew membership, register for GSNETX activities and more. It is important to note that just as a girl participating in the Cookie Program in her troop, cannot earn dollar for dollar proceeds allocated directly to her, Juliettes also do to not earn dollar for dollar Girl Scout Bucks based on IRS Private Benefit Guidelines.
Depending on their grade, Juliettes can participate in the Cookie Program and earn a combination of rewards and Girl Scout Bucks or girls working towards their higher awards (Silver & Gold) can partner with their Service Unit to use proceeds earned towards their higher award project.
Grades K-12 | Rewards & GS Bucks | Juliettes who select this option, can earn rewards just like girls who are participating in a troop and also earn Girl Scout Bucks in levels.
Grades 6-12 | Reward Opt-Out | Juliettes who select this option earn Girl Scout Bucks only, in levels at a higher rate, and do not receive rewards however they do receive earned patches.
Grades 6-12 | Higher Award Funding | Juliettes who select this option, work with their Service Unit who is the custodian of the funds that are earned, and all funds must be used towards their higher award project with clear reimbursement guidelines.
